I skipped part 16. I had seen pictures of finished Kalevala throws and this square looked very masculine to me, so I reserved some steel grey Åland sheep yarn for it. And then the pattern appears and is called Maiden's Spindle! I did try to crochet it but I could not understand the instructions at all. Anyway, this square is not based on any of the Kalevala poems, so it is not a big loss. To compensate, I made a few more squares that I really like, with some fibres or fibre blends I have not used before. I am on schedule with the blanket, 32 of the 48 squares done, yay!
