No volunteers for photo shooting, so I used Mme Thuja instead. The red shawl is lightweight and surprisingly versatile, it can be used as a scarf or cowl, or even like a poncho. The crepe-like fabric stays well in place on my shoulders. Crocheting this was pretty boring, 180 x 60 cm (6 x 2 foot) of mere chain stitches and trebles, so I added a dc edging in silk yarn. I tried fringes, too, but they did not look good. The simpler the better. The front has stripes and the back is plaid and more subdued in colour. You can wear it both ways, depending on your mood.
