Bolero

Musta pikkujakku XS-koossa. Tytön mekkokin on musta, vaikka kuva muuta väittää. Tätä oli ihana neuloa itsekehrätystä alpakasta. Ymmärrän hyvin, kun englannissa sanotaan, että knits like butter eli on kuin voita neuloisi. Dropsin malli oli muuten kiva, mutta hihan pyöriö on turhan matala enkä osannut tai rohjennut mennä sitä muuttelemaan. Hihat eivät oikein istu, ja tyttö näyttää olympiauimarilta, mutta eipä se tunnu häntä suuremmin haittaavan. Jakku on lämmin, kutittamaton, sopivan naisellinen, ylellisen tuntuinen ja ennen kaikkea syvän musta, kuten kaiken näköjään pitää 15-vuotiaalla olla.

Un boléro en alpaga noir filé main, taille XS. Le fil est tout doux, brillant, luxurieux et un vrai noir, ce qui compte pour une fille de 15 ans. Maintenant je comprends ce que veut dire knits like butter ou filer comme du beurre, comme disent les anglophones. Le patron Drops etait facile à suivre bien que je ne pense que les épaules soient une grande réussite. La fille l'aime bien et c'est tout ce qui compte.

A lacy bolero in black handspun alpaca, size XS. This was a delight to make, the yarn really knits like butter. The Drops pattern was easy but I am not totally happy with the sleeves and the shoulderline. The girl looks like an olympic swimming champ but as long as she accepts to wear the garment it doesn't matter. She loves the softness, the lustre and the true blackness of the alpaca yarn.
